💰 Pricing

How much does junk removal cost in Northern Virginia?

Junk removal with DMV Go Junk starts at $99. Larger loads are priced by how much of our 12-cubic-yard trailer they fill: $200 for a quarter trailer, $400 for a half, $570 for three-quarters, and $750 for a full trailer. You get one firm price before anything is loaded — usually from 2–3 photos sent by text. See the full pricing guide →

How do you calculate the price?

We price by volume — how much space your items take in our trailer — never by the hour. The only add-ons are stairs ($25), a long carry from a distant parking spot ($50), tires ($35 each, up to 4 per job), and electronics like TVs and monitors ($40 each). Everything else — loading, hauling, and disposal — is included. Pricing guide →

Is there a minimum charge?

Yes. The minimum charge is $99, which covers a single item such as a chair, a small table, a twin or full mattress, or a small appliance. Pricing guide →

Are there hidden fees?

No. The add-ons above are the only extras, and they're included in your quote upfront. There's no travel fee anywhere we serve — including Washington, DC and Maryland — no same-day or rush fee, and no fuel surcharge. See every price →

Can the price change on the day of the job?

No. The price we quote is the price you pay. If you decide to add more items on the day, we'll quote those separately before we load them, so there are no surprises on the invoice. Pricing guide →

What is the Price-Lock Promise?

It's our guarantee on price: the price we quote is the price you pay. There are no travel fees anywhere we serve, no same-day or rush fees, no cancellation fees, and nothing added after the job. The only add-ons — stairs $25, a long carry $50, tires $35 each, and electronics $40 each — are included in your quote upfront. If you decide to add items on the day, we quote those before we load them. See our pricing →

Realtor & property manager details →

Do you handle hoarder or sensitive cleanouts?

Yes. We handle hoarding situations and other sensitive cleanouts with patience, respect, and discretion. We work at a pace the family is comfortable with, set aside anything personal we find, and never judge. Hoarder cleanouts →

Can you help with an estate cleanout if our family lives out of state?

Yes. Many estate cleanouts are arranged by family members who live far away. Send a video walkthrough, mark what stays, arrange access through a lockbox or realtor, and we'll send photos when the house is empty. Estate cleanout details →

Do you offer dumpster rental?

Dumpster rental is launching in March 2027, and we're taking reservations now. Until then, our junk removal service can usually handle the same job — we do all the loading for you. Dumpster rental details →

Should I hire junk removal or rent a dumpster?

Junk removal is usually better when you don't want to do the lifting, the job is a few hours or a single day, or there's no room for a dumpster in the driveway. A dumpster can make sense for a longer renovation where debris builds up over weeks. Junk removal vs. dumpster rental →

Do you do kitchen cabinet removal without a full kitchen demolition?

Yes. Kitchen cabinet removal on its own — upper cabinets, lower cabinets, or both — is quoted from photos based on how many cabinets there are and how easy they are to carry out. If the whole kitchen is coming out, full kitchen demolition starts at $899 for a small ground-floor kitchen with the water and electrical already disconnected. Kitchen demolition details →

Can you remove just a granite or quartz countertop?

Yes. If you’re keeping the cabinets and only replacing the top, we remove the old granite, quartz or laminate countertop and haul it away. Countertop removal is quoted from photos — stone is heavy (a standard stone countertop can weigh 800 to 1,200+ pounds), so it takes more people and time than laminate. Full kitchen demolition starts at $899. Kitchen demolition price guide →

I already tore out my kitchen myself. Can you just haul away the debris?

Yes. Kitchen debris removal starts at $399 when the demo is already done and everything is on the ground floor with easy access. We load the old cabinets, countertop pieces, tile and sink from inside the house, the garage or the driveway and haul it all away. Stairs, tight access or heavy stone add to the price; full kitchen demolition, if you’d rather we do the tear-out too, starts at $899. Kitchen debris removal →

How far ahead do I need to book kitchen demolition?

Usually just a few days, and sometimes same-day or next-day. Many remodeling crews book demolition weeks out — on a recent Reston kitchen, the homeowners were offered dates about 8 weeks away by other companies, and we did it two days after they confirmed. Full kitchen demolition starts at $899 and kitchen debris removal at $399. See the Reston kitchen job →
