For washers and dryers, it helps if you can disconnect the water lines and power in advance — but if you cannot, let us know and we will handle it. Refrigerators should be unplugged and defrosted ideally 24 hours before pickup so water does not pour out during the move, but we can work around it if needed. Gas stoves and ovens require the gas to be turned off at the shutoff valve before we arrive — for safety, this should be done by a licensed plumber or gas company if you are not comfortable doing it yourself. We will ask these questions when we confirm your appointment so you are prepared.
