Why do these extra charges exist?
These are not fees we set — they are charges the landfill and licensed disposal facilities apply per item, on top of the regular volume-based rate. We pass that exact amount through to you, with no markup. It's the facility's rule, not ours.

No — we charge the same rate whether you're in Herndon, McLean, or Georgetown. Price is based on truck space and item type only. Maryland jobs may run slightly higher due to disposal facility fees at Maryland-licensed landfills, but we'll tell you upfront before we commit to anything.
Labor, truck, fuel, and disposal are all included. We do all the heavy lifting — you just point to what needs to go. The only add-ons are special disposal fees for certain items like mattresses, fridges, TVs, or appliances with freon. These are pass-through landfill charges, not markups — and we always disclose them before we start loading.
Volume works in your favor with load-based pricing. The more you have, the better value per item — a full load at $699–$849 hauls far more than 7 individual $99 pickups. If you're planning a large cleanout, it's almost always cheaper to do it all at once. We're happy to talk through the most cost-effective approach for your specific job.
For standard jobs — a few flights of stairs or a long carry from a back bedroom — no extra charge. For genuinely difficult access situations like narrow basement stairs, a hot tub in an enclosed rooftop space, or a piano on the 4th floor without an elevator, we'll let you know before booking and adjust the quote accordingly. No surprises.
We don't take hazardous waste — things like asbestos, chemicals, biohazard materials, or medical waste. We also don't take loose dirt, gravel, or concrete by the truckload (small amounts from a demo job are fine). Everything else — furniture, appliances, electronics, construction debris, yard waste, hot tubs, sheds — we handle. If you're unsure, text us a photo and we'll tell you straight away.
Same-day service is available most days when you call before noon. Next-day appointments are almost always possible. Yes — items in good condition go to local Virginia charities and donation centers before anything goes to the landfill. Metals, electronics, and appliances are recycled through licensed facilities.
