The biggest office cleanout we've taken on — and every bit of it happened after 5 PM.
A request came through our website — a company was closing out a full office space near Chantilly's Westfields business park and needed everything cleared out. I went out to see it in person before quoting anything: cubicles, individual desks, conference tables, dozens of chairs, bookshelves, cabinets, a break room kitchen setup. A real office, fully built out, all of it needing to go.
We walked the scope together, I gave a price, and we signed a contract before anything started — for a job this size, that's just how it should work. Both sides knowing exactly what's expected.
That was the catch: the building's rules meant no loading dock or freight access during business hours, and there were still employees working in sections of the office during the day who couldn't be disrupted. So the whole cleanout got pushed into the evening — twice.
Thursday, we started at 5 PM and worked until midnight. Friday, we came back and did the same thing — 5 PM to midnight again. Two full evenings, a 3-person crew, breaking down cubicle panels, disassembling desks, taking apart conference tables, and hauling everything out section by section.

By the time we finished Friday night, it had taken roughly five full trailer loads to clear the space — cubicles, desks, chairs, two conference tables, bookshelves, cabinets, and the kitchen table and chairs from the break room. Two evenings of steady, physical work, but the space was completely empty and swept by the time we left.
Jobs like this are a good reminder of what commercial office cleanout actually involves — it's rarely just "come grab some furniture." It's coordinating around a building's rules, working around people's schedules, and doing the physically demanding part of disassembling a whole office, one cubicle at a time.
