A Google Search and a Form
This one started like a lot of our jobs do now. A homeowner in Greenbriar, Chantilly, searched Google for someone to clear out their garage, found us, and filled out the form on our website. A few hours later, Kadir and I were backing the trailer into their driveway.
When we opened the garage, it was easy to see why they'd had enough. You could barely walk in.
Before and after — same garage, same day.
What Was in There
An old sofa wrapped in a green tarp took up the middle of the floor. Two bikes hung from the ceiling, and big cardboard boxes and panels were stacked against the wall. There was a folding table with a yellow cloth, a red bench, bins of odds and ends, and a pile of loose clutter in every corner.
Not everything was going, though. The homeowner wanted to keep the metal shelving, the workbench and tools, a stack of boxes by the stairs, and their kitchen table and chairs. So before we picked anything up, we walked the garage together and they pointed out what stays. That's how we start every partial cleanout — it means nothing gets taken by mistake.
Two People, One Trip
Kadir and I split it up. The sofa came out first since it was the biggest piece, then the bikes off the ceiling hooks, then the boxes, table, bench, and everything else. We loaded the trailer as we went so the heavy items sat low and the light stuff went on top. When the last bag was in, we swept the floor.
It filled about seven-eighths of our 12-cubic-yard trailer.

Frequently Asked Questions
Sometimes the same day. On this job, the homeowner filled out our online form and the garage was cleared within a few hours. When our schedule is open, we move fast — especially for requests that come in early in the day.
Old furniture. Sofas, tables, chairs, and benches end up in the garage when they're replaced inside the house — and then stay there for years. A sofa under a tarp is one of the most common things we carry out.
Absolutely. In this garage, the shelving, workbench, tools, and the homeowner's table and chairs all stayed. We only take what you point out, and we price only what leaves.
Usually between three-quarters and a full trailer. This Chantilly garage filled about seven-eighths of our 12-cubic-yard trailer, which starts at $660.
For bigger garages, yes. Kadir and I worked this one together — it keeps the job fast and safe when there are heavy pieces like a sofa or a loaded cooler.
