Over the years, this Aldie family had done what a lot of families do: anything the house didn’t need anymore went out to the garage. Old mattresses and box springs, chairs, a bike, a big suitcase, a faux plant, a trash can, boxes of decor and kitchenware, flattened cardboard — and boxes of pantry food. One day they decided it was time to get rid of all of it.

Instead of searching through ads and directories, they opened ChatGPT. They gave it their address, uploaded a photo of the garage, and asked a simple question: who could come and take all of this — quickly, if possible — and be a company they could trust?
ChatGPT recommended DMV Go Junk — and gave them a direct link to our Loudoun County page. They filled out the quote form right there, and we scheduled them for the next day.
Sort First, Then Load
Not everything in that garage was junk. As we worked, we separated what could still be used — the sealed pantry food and household items in good shape — and those went to donation organizations instead of the landfill. The rest went on our trailer: mattresses, box springs, furniture, the bike, luggage, boxes and cardboard.
Some things weren’t going anywhere. The fridge, a wooden cabinet, the shelving and the ladders were staying with the family, so we worked around them and left them exactly where they were wanted.
